Gluten Free Jamie Oliver Inspired Dauphinoise Potato Bake

As promised here is my first winter recipe – this recipe has been slightly amended from the Jamie Oliver version. This French inspired recipe has to be one of the tastiest potato bake recipes I’ve come across. It is perfect served up for  Sunday lunch with your favourite roast meat on a cool winter’s day.

1 red onion

1 kg white potatoes

2 cloves garlic crushed

300 ml Pauls cream

300ml milk

Parmesan or Cheddar cheese grated

2 bay leaves

Cracked Pepper & ground Sea Salt to taste

Peel and slice the red onion

Wash the potatoes, leave their skins on and slice

Layer in an oven dish with red onion

Finely grate over a large handful of Parmesan or Cheddar Cheese

Add the bay leaves

Place in pre-heated oven and cook for 1hr – 1hr 15 or until potatoes are cooked through
