A trip down memory lane

In May and June of 2012 my partner and I spent a wonderful 6 weeks driving around Europe. It was my first ever trip to Europe and at times my partner would laugh at me and comment that I was like a child in a lolly shop. As we were driving, there were times where I didn’t know what to take a photo of as I was just enjoying the scenery too much.

Our trip saw us driving from Frankfurt north to Neudorf and a day trip to Berlin for a day.

After two weeks in Neudorf we drove south through Switzerland, staying one night in Interlaken, where I would love to go back and visit.

We arrived in a small Tuscan town called Vellano where we spent another 2 weeks.

When we left Vellano we drove up to Paris where we dropped the car off on our first day. We spent one week exploring Paris, walking and catching the underground (what a great system!).

After an amazing week in Paris, we caught the train to London where we spent our last and final week exploring London.

And yes we would love to go back and do it all again! Here are a handful of some of the photos we took on our journey.

  1. Hi Dee and Piet,
thank you for your photos. I forgot how lovely my beloved Germany is. But you felt in love with Vellano I suppose. Which I understand. I don’t know Vellano but some spots in Italy that conquers my heart again and again. Well and Paris – a moveable feast along Hemingway. Have a nice Weekend. I will follow your blog.

  2. Looks like a really lovely place! But my first thoughts, were “it’s so clean, it’s so clean!” 🙂 I really do need to get out of Asia in the future.
